1. PURPOSE

This Policy explains how Connect To Inspect handles inspection reports, photographs, and related records through its marketplace.

2. INSPECTOR RESPONSIBILITY

The inspector is responsible for preparing the inspection report and retaining professional inspection records as required by applicable law.

Connect To Inspect's operational retention period does not replace the inspector's legal or professional record-retention obligations.

3. CONNECT TO INSPECT STORAGE

Connect To Inspect may temporarily store reports and photographs to:

  • deliver them to authorized recipients;
  • provide customer access;
  • support customer service;
  • maintain transaction integrity;
  • address disputes or security matters.

Connect To Inspect generally retains reports and photographs for up to 30 days.

4. CUSTOMER RIGHTS

The customer may retain and use the inspection report and photographs provided to the customer for legitimate purposes concerning the property and transaction.

5. REFERRAL ORGANIZATION ACCESS

A referral organization may receive reports or photographs when the customer has authorized that access or when access has otherwise been established lawfully through the Platform.

Connect To Inspect may configure this authorization on an organization-by-organization basis.

6. SECURITY

Reports and photographs are stored using access controls designed to prevent unauthorized public access.

Access may be provided through time-limited secure links.

7. RETENTION EXCEPTIONS

Connect To Inspect may retain documents longer than the standard period when reasonably necessary for:

  • legal compliance;
  • dispute resolution;
  • fraud investigation;
  • security investigation;
  • audit purposes;
  • enforcement of agreements; or
  • preservation of evidence.

8. REPORT CORRECTIONS

Questions concerning the substance of an inspection report should be directed to the inspector.

Connect To Inspect may facilitate communication but does not independently alter an inspector's professional conclusions.
