CONNECT TO INSPECT LLC PRIVACY POLICY Version 1.2 · Effective October 22, 2026
Connect To Inspect LLC ("Connect To Inspect," "we," "us," or "our") operates a marketplace connecting homeowners, homebuyers, and real estate and insurance professionals with independent home inspectors, through our website and our mobile applications for iPhone, iPad and Android (the "App") (together, the "Platform").
This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use and share it, how long we keep it, and the choices you have.
1. INFORMATION WE COLLECT Depending on how you use the Platform, we may collect:
Account information - name - email address - telephone number - login credentials and authentication information (passwords are stored only in encrypted, hashed form)
Booking and property information - inspection type - property address and county - appointment date and time - property access information - referral organization - payment and transaction information - booking history - information necessary to schedule and perform the requested inspection
Inspector information For inspectors, we may also collect: - licensing and insurance information - business information - service areas and availability - credential expiration information - documents submitted for verification - payout information needed to pay the inspector (bank details are collected and held by our payment processor, Stripe, not by Connect To Inspect)
Reports and photographs Inspection reports, and photographs of the property taken or uploaded by participating inspectors through the App or website.
Precise location (inspectors only) When an inspector taps "Start route" in the App, we collect the inspector's precise location, including in the background while the App is closed or the device is locked. See Section 3.
Device notification tokens If you allow app notifications, we store a token for your device so we can send you job offers, reminders and appointment updates. See Section 4.
Communications Notifications, emails and text messages we send, support requests, and related transactional records.
Technical information - IP address - browser and device information - operating system and app version - log, security and diagnostic information - usage information
Analytics We may use Google Analytics and similar standard analytics technologies on our website to understand Platform usage, performance and traffic. The App may use crash and diagnostic reporting provided by Apple, Google or our infrastructure providers. We do not use analytics data to track you across other companies' apps or websites for advertising.
2. HOW WE USE INFORMATION We use information to: - create and maintain accounts; - process bookings and payments; - match appointments with eligible inspectors and send job offers; - show homeowners their inspector's progress and estimated arrival time; - communicate about appointments by email, text message and app notification; - provide reports and photographs; - administer referral relationships; - verify inspector credentials; - pay inspectors; - prevent fraud and unauthorized access; - provide customer support; - maintain security; - improve and analyze the Platform; - comply with law, resolve disputes and enforce agreements; and - send marketing communications where legally permitted and you have agreed to receive them.
3. LOCATION INFORMATION We collect location only from inspectors, and only for an active appointment: - Collection starts when the inspector taps "Start route" in the App for an assigned inspection. - While the inspector is on the way, the App continues to share precise location in the background, even if the App is closed or the device is locked, so the homeowner can see the inspector's progress and estimated arrival time. - Collection stops when the inspector taps "Arrived" or the appointment ends. - Location is not collected at any other time, is not used for advertising, and is never sold.
Location sharing requires the inspector's acceptance of our Location Tracking Consent and the device's location permission. Inspectors can withdraw permission at any time in their device settings; on-the-way tracking will then be unavailable.
The homeowner for that appointment (and Connect To Inspect administrators) can see the location while the appointment is live. Location records are deleted once the inspection report is submitted or the appointment is closed, and in any case shortly afterward (typically within 72 hours), except where retention is reasonably necessary for security, legal compliance, dispute resolution or fraud investigation.
4. NOTIFICATIONS AND TEXT MESSAGES App notifications. If you allow notifications on your device, we store a device notification token linked to your account and use Apple Push Notification service or Google Firebase Cloud Messaging to deliver notifications. The token is deleted when you turn off App notifications (Profile → Notifications), sign out of the App, or delete your account. You can also turn notifications off in your device settings.
Text messages. If you opt in to text messages, we use your phone number to send transactional messages about your inspections or, for inspectors, job offers and reminders. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help. We do not sell or share mobile phone numbers or text-messaging opt-in data with third parties for their marketing purposes.
Email. You can turn off non-essential email updates in Profile → Notifications. Account-security and legally required messages may still be sent.
5. HOW INFORMATION IS SHARED We share information only as needed to run the Platform: - the assigned inspector (customer name, contact details, property and appointment details); - the homeowner/homebuyer (the assigned inspector's business name, contact phone, and on-the-way location and arrival estimate); - an authorized referral organization (see Section 6); - our service providers, who process information on our behalf, including: - Stripe (payments and inspector payouts); - hosting, database and file-storage providers; - authentication providers (including Google, if you choose Google sign-in on the website); - mapping and address providers; - email and text-message delivery providers; - Apple and Google (app distribution and app notifications); - analytics and diagnostics providers; - professional advisers; and - governmental or law-enforcement authorities where legally required or reasonably necessary for lawful purposes.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not sell inspection reports or location information.
6. REFERRAL ORGANIZATIONS A referral organization (for example a real estate or insurance agency) may receive an inspection report and related information when the customer has authorized the organization to receive it or when the organization's access has otherwise been established through the Platform.
Connect To Inspect can configure, for each referral organization, whether reports are automatically provided to that organization. Customers should review the referral arrangement presented during booking.
7. PAYMENT INFORMATION Payments and inspector payouts are processed by Stripe. Connect To Inspect does not store complete payment-card numbers or inspectors' full bank-account numbers. Stripe's handling of this information is governed by Stripe's privacy policy.
8. DATA SECURITY We use reasonable administrative, technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect information against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration or destruction, including encryption in transit, access controls, and storing sign-in sessions in the device's secure storage (iOS Keychain / Android Keystore). No electronic system can guarantee absolute security.
9. DATA RETENTION We generally retain: - inspection reports and photographs for up to 30 days after the applicable inspection (customers should download and keep a copy of their report); - booking records for up to one year; - inspector location records as described in Section 3; - device notification tokens until notifications are turned off, you sign out, or your account is deleted; - legal, financial, tax, security, dispute and acceptance records for as long as reasonably necessary for the applicable purpose or as required by law.
Longer retention may occur when necessary to comply with legal obligations, investigate fraud, resolve disputes, enforce agreements or preserve evidence.
Inspectors' own professional record-retention obligations are their responsibility and may exceed Connect To Inspect's retention periods.
10. DELETING YOUR ACCOUNT You can delete your account at any time: - in the App: Profile → Delete account; - on the website: Profile → Delete account; or - by emailing david@connecttoinspect.com.
When you delete your account, your sign-in is closed and your personal details (such as name, email, phone and notification tokens) are erased. Accounts with an upcoming inspection or an unpaid inspector payout must complete or cancel those first.
We may keep information we are legally required or reasonably permitted to retain, such as transaction, payment, tax, legal-acceptance, security, fraud and dispute records, in anonymized or restricted form.
11. YOUR RIGHTS AND CHOICES Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete or obtain a copy of your information, or to object to or limit certain processing. You can update most account details in Profile, manage notifications in Profile → Notifications, and delete your account as described in Section 10.
To make any other request, email david@connecttoinspect.com. We may need to verify your identity, and we will respond within the time required by applicable law. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.
12. MARKETING Transactional communications are sent when reasonably necessary to provide the requested service. Marketing communications are sent only where permitted by law and, where required, with your consent. You may unsubscribe from marketing at any time using the unsubscribe link or by replying STOP to a text message.
13. CHILDREN The Platform is intended for people age 18 or older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 or provide account-based services to anyone under 18. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
14. THIRD-PARTY SERVICES Third-party providers listed in Section 5 may process information according to their own privacy policies and our contracts with them. Links to third-party websites are governed by those websites' policies.
15. CHANGES We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Each version identifies its effective date. If changes are material, we will notify you in the App or on the website and, where required, ask you to accept the new version.
