LOCATION TRACKING CONSENT
Version 1.2
CONNECT TO INSPECT LLC
LOCATION TRACKING CONSENT
Effective Date: )ctober 22, 2026 Version: 1.2
Connect To Inspect may provide a homeowner or homebuyer with limited appointment-related location information concerning the inspector assigned to that appointment.
1. PURPOSE
Location information is used to help the customer understand when an inspector is traveling to the appointment and when the inspector has arrived. When you tap Start route for an assigned inspection, the Connect To Inspect app shares your precise location, including in the background while the app is closed or your phone is locked, so the homeowner can see your progress and estimated arrival time. Sharing stops when you tap Arrived or the appointment ends. Your location is not collected at any other time, is not used for advertising, and is never sold.
Your location is visible only to the homeowner for that appointment and to authorized Connect To Inspect staff. Location records are deleted once the inspection report is submitted or the appointment is closed, typically within 72 hours, unless a longer period is needed for security, fraud, dispute or legal reasons.
You can withdraw location permission at any time in your phone’s settings. On-the-way tracking will then be unavailable for your appointments.
2. WHEN LOCATION IS USED
Location sharing is limited to the active appointment workflow.
It is not intended to provide continuous tracking of an inspector.
Location sharing ends when the applicable appointment activity ends.
3. WHO MAY SEE LOCATION
Location information may be shown to the customer associated with the applicable inspection and authorized Platform personnel who require the information to administer the appointment.
Location information is not made publicly available.
4. RETENTION
Appointment-related location records are deleted after the report is submitted, except where a longer retention period is reasonably necessary for:
- security;
- fraud investigation;
- dispute resolution;
- legal compliance;
- enforcement of agreements; or
- another lawful purpose.
5. CONSENT
By selecting the applicable consent control, the user acknowledges and agrees to the collection and use of appointment-related location information described in this policy.
The Platform records the applicable document version and acceptance time.
6. LIMITATIONS
Location information may be affected by device settings, connectivity, GPS availability, operating-system permissions, and other technical conditions.
Connect To Inspect does not guarantee continuous or exact location accuracy.
